Job summary

Olin is seeking a Rubber Liner Technician in Charleston, TN. You will apply rubber lining and protective coatings per manufacturer specifications, ensuring safe and efficient operations on the railcar fleet.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of railcar liner experience, physical fitness for outdoor work, and the ability to travel up to 20%. TWIC eligibility and a valid US driver’s license are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years experience as rubber liner technician for railcars.
• Must meet physical requirements for outdoor work year-round.
• Medical requirements for Confined Space work; 18" or smaller.
• Willing to travel up to 20% (usually overnight).
• Must obtain a TWIC and have a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow all plant operating and safety policies to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Remove and dispose of old lining material per environmental considerations.
• Prepare substrate for lining or coating applications per ASTM profile specifications.
• Quality control of adhesive applications and proper drying times.
• Apply lining or coating according to manufacturer procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Area supervisor.
