Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; certification in rubber lining or a related field is a plus.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Willingness to learn and advance in the coatings and linings field.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Install and apply rubber linings in various industrial equipment, ensuring proper adhesion and coverage.
• Prepare and clean surfaces to be lined, including grinding and sandblasting as needed.
• Accurately mix rubber compounds and adhesives according to specifications.
• Conduct thorough inspections of rubber linings for quality and defects.
• Perform routine inspections and repairs on rubber-lined equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot wear, bonding, and environmental damage issues and take corrective actions.
• Mentor and train less experienced Rubber Liner I staff in techniques and safety practices.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections, reporting progress to supervisors.
• Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and maintenance personnel to determine best rubber lining solutions.
