Job summary

PSC Group is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to safely repair railcars and associated equipment. The role involves interpreting work orders, reading blueprints, and performing welding, cutting, and gouging with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

On-the-job training is available. Candidates must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States, pass a drug screen and background check, and demonstrate fluent English. Regular on-site attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; paid on-the-job training available.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on location.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE and pass any required medical exams.
• Speak, write, read fluent English.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required.
• Previous military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform required repairs.
• Welds, cuts and gouges using basic mechanical skills and tools.
• Notifies of materials or equipment needed to complete tasks.
• Follows safety rules and ARS EH Policies.
• Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality standards are met.
• Completes other duties as assigned to finish the task.
