Job summary

Watco is seeking a Train Crew Supervisor to oversee switching and car movements at our rail yards and facilities. You will coordinate crews, ensure safety, and deliver efficient operations across locations.

Responsibilities include communicating switching orders, maintaining train lists, and reporting incidents. A current locomotive engineer and conductor certification is required, along with a HS diploma or GED and ongoing training commitments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications required for this position.
• Must hold and continue to maintain locomotive engineer and conductor certifications.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates train crews.
• Communicates switching orders focusing on safety and efficiency.
• Utilizes systems and reports to organize customer changes to cars.
• Ensures daily train lists are executed accurately and timely.
• Investigates incidents and provides accurate reports.
• Understands factors contributing to location costs and profitability.
• Applies FRA regulations and adheres to safety manuals and procedures.
• Trains switch crews and other personnel on job duties and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as requested.
