Job summary

Enterris Associates, Inc. seeks a Utility Coordinator Lead / Civil Engineer for rail transit projects. You will coordinate with design teams, utility owners, and ROW staff to resolve conflicts and integrate agreement terms into designs, with occasional site visits along the corridor.

The role requires 10+ years in civil engineering and strong negotiation skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS, and PMIS Kahua is a plus. PE license preferred; salary $140k–$170k.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with significant utility coordination on transit, rail, or highway projects.
• Experience leading utility coordination during preliminary engineering and environmental phases.
• Working knowledge of utility agreements, conflict matrices, and relocation design.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with utility owners, agencies, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility coordination and identify utility conflicts and relocation requirements, and develop and maintain the utility conflict matrix.
• Coordinate with utility owners to collect records, confirm facility locations, and develop relocation concepts.
• Support third-party and master utility agreements and negotiations, and integrate agreement terms into the design.
• Support ROW and property acquisition coordination and permitting strategy.
• Review design submittals for utility impacts, conflicts, and constructability.
• Coordinate subsurface utility investigations, such as potholing and utility locating, as needed.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action item logs, and status reports for Sound Transit and project leadership.
