Job summary

Lusternational in the greater San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Utility Coordinator to support a large, complex rail infrastructure program. You will identify utility conflicts early and coordinate with public and private utility owners to resolve them before they affect design or construction, keeping clearance aligned with the project schedule.

Responsibilities include maintaining the utility conflict matrix, tracking relocation dates against commitments, and preparing permit applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6+ years in utility coordination for transportation projects.
• Knowledge of utility systems, ROW, and environmental regs.
• Ability to read plans and identify conflicts for resolution.
• Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify existing utilities and coordinate new installations to resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate with utility owners to confirm ownership, relocation needs, and cost responsibility.
• Maintain the utility conflict matrix and track relocation schedules.
• Prepare utility permit applications and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Review plans to identify conflicts and route for resolution, supporting construction teams.
• Coordinate subsurface utility engineering work and urban corridor activities.
• Maintain detailed records to support payments, audits, and claims.
