Job summary

HDR is seeking a Construction Manager II in Oakland to lead subcontractor coordination and ensure quality control for rail transit facilities in the Northern CA Bay Area. You will develop procedures with the project team, manage procurement, and oversee cost control.

The role requires a strong background in construction management, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with CM software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, and Bluebeam. An employee-owned culture supports collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning/management.
• Experience with MS Office and CM software (Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam).
• Strong people skills and ability to interact with stakeholders.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling and quality control for rail transit projects.
• Develop and implement construction procedures with project team.
• Administer procurement, subcontract scopes, and cost control.
• Monitor design progress relative to construction requirements.
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Manage bids, quotes, and procurement activities in the field.
• Support project budgeting and scheduling, reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality assurance services.
