Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects, manage scope and schedule, and prepare technical reports while reviewing CAD drawings and securing required permits. Travel to job sites is required.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8+ years in water resources engineering, and experience mentoring others. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer license is required.
  • 8+ years of related water resource engineering experience.
  • 4 years of experience leading or mentoring.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or other related hydrologic and hydraulic software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and project management duties related to hydrologic/hydraulic analysis for Class I Railroad projects.
  • Assist with developing project scope and schedule.
  • Prepare technical reports and review CAD drawings.
  • Obtain local, state, and federal permits for water resources projects.
  • Travel to job sites for field reconnaissance.
