Union Pacific Railroad is seeking Welder Helpers to contribute to the repair, tempering, and cutting of rails, frogs, switches, and related welding tasks. You will help maintain tracks and support safe, efficient train operations across North America.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, English assessment, and the potential to obtain a CDL during probation. Expect fieldwork, safety-focused duties, and travel as needed; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Formación

• Must pass an English assessment before interview.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to obtain CDL during probationary period if operating large vehicles.

Responsabilidades

• Perform track maintenance activities such as repairs, installations, and component removals.
• Utilize load/unload devices to handle and transport track materials and equipment.
• Monitor track conditions and observe right-of-way and passing trains for safety.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and remove spikes.
• Maintain trackbed by replacing ballast and assisting in unloading ballast cars.
• Comply with FRA safety rules and company procedures.
