Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in Dallas, TX is seeking a Track Maintainer for the NW Rail Facility Maintenance team. The role covers preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of rails, embedded tracks, and switches.

You will operate track maintenance equipment, keep logs, and perform tests to meet reliability and safety standards. A combination of education and hands-on experience in heavy rail or electrified systems is required, along with a valid CDL and DOT medical

Qualifications

• Associates degree or tech cert in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering.
• Must pass a technical test.
• DOT medical examination and random drug/alcohol testing required.
• Valid Driver's License Class-C; ability to obtain CDL Class-A Restricted within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rails, tracks, and related rail services.
• Perform walking track inspections.
• Operate track maintenance equipment and tools.
• Maintain material usage logs and work orders; ensure safety compliance.
