Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is seeking a skilled Rail Vehicle Technician to perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on light rail vehicles and subsystems in the Dallas area. The role requires strong attendance to safety and quality standards, with the ability to work independently and respond to emergencies on the main line.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related certification, plus strong communication and PC skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose light rail vehicle malfunctions and determine root cause for repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance and replace malfunctioning components.
• Diagnose on main line during service hours and assist in emergencies.
• Re-rail Light Rail vehicles and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Adhere to safety, training, and quality assurance programs.
