Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Any combination of education, training, and experience showing ability to perform Trackman duties.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform heavy manual labor.
• Willing to commit to irregular hours for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and construction on railroad tracks, bridges, and right-of-way.
• Change railroad ties; operate heavy equipment; perform basic maintenance of machinery.
• Grind end of rails, remove spikes, drive spikes, and perform related maintenance as part of track crew.
• Load, unload, and general handling of materials and equipment as instructed.
• Work outdoors in all weather and around loud noises.
