Job summary

Watco is seeking a Track Laborer in Kansas to safely inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure and related facilities. This is a manual labor role with a structured training period.

Starting hourly pay is $22.00. You will assist with inspecting rails, turnout components, ballast, crossings, and other track materials, and must pass safety and operating rules training as required by Watco and FRA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass and/or obtain all required reporting, testing, and certifications for this position.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, load and unload, distribute and install rail components and track materials.
• Inspect, grind, fabricate and repair rail and track components.
• Inspect, maintain, repair and construct track turnouts and infrastructure.
• Inspect and maintain road crossings, bridges and supports; read gauges and schematics.
