Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Track Laborer to help maintain the safety and reliability of railroad infrastructure. The role is outdoor, weather dependent, and involves using hand tools and heavy equipment to repair and replace track components, with hands-on training and growth opportunities.

You'll work full-time in a 24/7 environment, with shifts including nights and weekends, and must meet safety requirements such as pre-employment screenings. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Background and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Comply with railroad safety and operational regulations.
• Repair and rebuild track components using hand or hydraulic tools.
• Remove and replace ties and rails, install spikes, and handle ballast.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
