Union Pacific Corporation in Springfield, IL seeks a Track Laborer - Driver Eligible to join our rail maintenance team. You will handle and move track materials, replace rails and anchors, and support safe, efficient train operations across North America.

This role requires outdoor work in varying weather, a valid CDL or CDL-eligible status, and FMCSA medical qualifications. The pay is $33.88 hourly, with comprehensive benefits and regular travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• Valid driver's license
• Maintaining an acceptable MVR
• CDL required if GVWR ≥ 26,000 lbs; CDL during probation if applicable
• FMCSA medical qualifications
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT) prior to employment
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and outdoors in various weather
• FRA safety rules, regulations and procedures
• Minimum 1 year railroad maintenance experience
• Welding proficiency or welding certificate
• Proficiency with construction-like environments
• Flexibility to work on-call, overtime, weekends and holidays

Responsabilités

• Handle, unload and move track materials and equipment
• Remove and replace rails, rail anchors, spikes, ballast, ties
• Work with equipment; dig holes and trenches
• Observe track conditions for problems or defects
• Follow safety rules and FRA regulations
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers
• Drive company vehicles when needed
• Maintain track beds and clear vegetation
• Perform other duties as assigned
