Job summary

Watco is seeking a Track Inspector to safely inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure and supervise crew members. You will work to ensure safe, efficient service and comply with all safety rules and regulations.

The role requires reading and interpreting company documents, completing inspections, and coordinating with other departments. A valid Class D Driver’s License and relevant supervisory experience are essential for on-site work.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class D Driver’s License.
• 1-year supervisory experience in railroad management or related track maintenance supervision.
• Pass Track Ground School and multiple safety/operational tests required for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, unload, load, distribute, and install track material and ballast.
• Inspect and maintain rail, ties, turnouts, and track components.
• Supervise track laborers and ensure safety compliance and timely reporting.
