BNSF Railway is seeking a Signal Engineering Management Trainee for 2027 in Kansas City, with relocation/travel up to 75% and a 40+ hour schedule. The program covers design, installation, maintenance, and advanced train control, under seasoned mentors.

Start dates span multiple 2027 options; 2 positions available. The role emphasizes leadership development within a 24/7 operations environment, with on-call, overtime, nights, and weekend work anticipated.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, etc.) to be completed prior to hire.
• Capacity to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere on the BNSF Railway operating system and travel up to 75%.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and construct signal infrastructure along right of way.
• Plan and schedule required maintenance and verify quality of work.
• Expand and update infrastructure; oversee projects that interact with BNSF property.
• Ensure safety of all team members and manage project finances & schedules.
