Job summary

Stadler Rail Group in Austin, TX seeks a General Manager to lead the DMU fleet support program with CapMetro. You will drive fleet reliability, customer relations, contract performance and cross-functional alignment with Stadler US and international teams.

The role requires robust leadership, project management, and strategic supply chain coordination; you will guide safety culture and workforce development while delivering performance improvements for a complex rail operations ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Transportation or related field.
• 3+ years leadership experience in transportation, fleet management, maintenance or service operations.
• Strong project management and customer relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer interface for Stadler Rail Service US and CapMetro.
• Lead monthly performance reviews and KPI reporting.
• Manage contractual obligations and service delivery.
• Prepare executive and operational reports.
• Monitor fleet reliability and availability.
• Coordinate root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Transfer global best practices to Austin operations.
• Manage supply chain optimization and material availability.
• Participate in international cross-functional meetings and benchmarking initiatives.
• Lead technical support personnel and workforce development.
