Job summary

Amtrak in Philadelphia seeks a senior engineer to provide technical, operational, and project coordination support for planning and executing production and construction activities in a 24/7 environment.

You will monitor field operations, coordinate resources, oversee project implementation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience (minimum).
• Plus 6 years of relevant work experience (minimum).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience (preferred).
• Plus 8 years of relevant work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor field operations and construction activities to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
• Coordinate and oversee production and construction projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Perform inspections, audits, and QA/QC to verify FRA regulations and standards.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, track access, and stakeholders for efficient execution.
• Analyze field conditions and project progress to recommend improvements.
