Job summary

Amtrak is hiring a Lead Project Controls Specialist-Schedule in Philadelphia to lead the integrated master scheduling for major programs. You will develop and update schedules, dashboards, and performance reports to enable efficient project delivery and ensure compliance with project management standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with Primavera scheduling software to develop and maintain multi‑discipline schedules.
• Knowledge of construction project management through all phases and related processes.
• Understanding of contract administration, AIA/JECBD standard conditions.
• Familiarity with cost engineering, cost management and cost estimation on large projects.
• Understanding of database management and data operations (e.g., SQL).
• Experience implementing project control software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule for major projects and programs.
• Ensure compliance with Amtrak project management standards and policies in project controls.
• Collaborate with project management and controls teams to develop schedules and dashboards.
• Apply scheduling concepts to rail-specific work elements and general construction tasks.
• Collect and report KPIs, progress data, trends to support management decisions.
• Integrate external schedule data from vendors/contractors for accurate reporting.
• Create reporting mechanisms and presentations for project performance indicators.
• Assist with baseline reviews and schedule risk assessments.
• Support data-driven decision making with forecasting and budget alignment.
