Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Sr Mgr Work Planning to lead short-to-mid-range work planning and resource coordination across its capital projects portfolio in Philadelphia. This role ensures project readiness and efficient delivery, guiding quarterly regional reviews with senior leadership.

You will support organizational change within Capital Delivery’s Planning Services and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to optimize work planning and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience.
• Nine years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing staff of technical managers responsible for outage planning in the Mid-Atlantic Division.
• Lead and manage complex, strategic initiatives that support short-to-mid-range work planning across Amtrak’s capital projects.
• Lead quarterly regional resource reviews with Senior Leadership.
• Support organizational change management efforts necessary to accomplish the objectives of Capital Delivery’s Planning Services.
• Promote collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement resource allocation guidelines and ensure adherence to them.
• Analyze challenges and opportunities to improve work planning and project delivery.
