Job summary

Sécheron SA, a global maker of DC switchgear, power conversion systems, and traction power solutions for the rail industry, seeks a Field Service Engineer (or Technician) in the United States. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofits and commissioning, with strong customer focus and travel opportunities.

You will support the service organization across the USA, collaborating with Sales and internal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant technical experience.
Field service experience with installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.
Experience in power distribution or switchgear manufacturing preferred.
Ability to travel domestically up to 80% and some international travel.

Responsibilities

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance at customer facilities per Sécheron standards.
Implement retrofits and modernization projects with internal teams and customers.
Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and occasional customer trainings.
Create technical intervention reports and templates.
Support Sales Engineers on substations surveys and repair quotations.
Identify and promote service-centered opportunities during customer visits.
Provide product expertise on DC switchgear, rectifiers, power converters, and relays.
