Job summary

Sécheron is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Technician to support its USA service organization. The role involves field-based maintenance, retrofits, commissioning and customer trainings, with extensive travel to customer sites across the United States.

The candidate should have a strong electrical engineering background, 3+ years in related fields, and be comfortable working in diverse environments. Onboarding includes a 4–6 week program at the European production plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Field service experience in installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• 3+ years in power distribution or switchgear manufacturing.
• Familiarity with DC power systems up to 3 kV.
• Safety training including OSHA and CPR.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and occasional international travel.
• Onboarding of 4–6 weeks at European plant.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance at customer facilities.
• Implement retrofits and modernization projects with internal teams and customers.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and trainings on Sécheron equipment.
• Audit existing equipment and prepare technical reports.
• Support Sales Engineers on site surveys and quotations.
• Promote service-centered opportunities during customer visits.
