Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Rail Coordinator III to manage rail fleet maintenance workflow, including shop trips, estimates, and compliance data in the TMS. Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of rail logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations experience.
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with stakeholders across rail shops, lessors, and internal teams.
• Self-starter with initiative to improve processes and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data steward for repair estimates in the TMS to prevent duplicates.
• Load estimate files (.txt/.dat) into the system and verify data when estimates are absent.
• Maintain accurate shop information to support BRC approvals and billing.
• Act as liaison between rail shops and internal Rail Maintenance team for communication.
• Submit daily shop requests through MyGatx, LinkNet, and other platforms.
• Notify when P66 bills cars to shop and manage outbound disposition; obtain BOLs.
• Support Annual Compliance Shop Program and update system with test dates.
• Update mandatory test dates for tank, valve, 88b2, and related inspections.
• Identify OTMA cars and submit information to leasing companies at shop entry.
• Communicate invoices and file appropriately.
• Manage trip diversion data and origin changes; coordinate with Rail Coordinators.
• Share new route codes with stakeholders for diversions and shop trips.
• Run daily reports on off-lease car departures and coordinate updates with stakeholders.
• Balance time commitments across assigned rail maintenance functions.
