You will ensure data integrity in the Rail TMS and support off-lease car management and reporting. The role requires 2+ years in rail logistics or transportation operations, strong communication, and proficiency with TMS and SAP.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma; related associate or bachelor preferred.
• 2+ years in rail logistics, fleet management, or transportation ops.
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter with initiative to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data steward for repair estimates in the TMS.
• Load estimate files (.txt or .dat) into the system and verify data.
• Keep shop information current for BRC approvals.
• Act as liaison between rail shops and Rail Maintenance team.
• Submit daily shop requests via MyGatx, LinkNet, etc.
• Notify when cars are billed to shop and manage outbound disposition.
• Support annual compliance and update projected outbound dates.
• Ensure test date updates for tank, valve, and other inspections.
• Identify OTMA cars and submit info to leasing company.
• Communicate invoices and file accordingly.
• Manage trip diversions and origin changes; log comments.
• Inform route codes to stakeholders for diversions and trips.
• Run daily reports on off-lease departures and close trips with notes.
• Balance time commitments across rail maintenance functions.
