Job summary

Omega AS in Houston, TX is seeking a Rail Maintenance Associate to support Phillips 66's rail fleet maintenance operations. You will manage shop trips, track estimates and invoices, and ensure data integrity in the Rail TMS while coordinating with repair shops and internal Rail Coordinators.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in rail logistics, TMS knowledge, and strong communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in United States
• 2+ years of rail logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations
• Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to interact with stakeholders across multiple teams
• Desire to identify and implement process improvements

Responsibilities

• Act as data steward for repair estimates and prevent duplicates in the TMS
• Load estimate files (.txt/.dat) and verify data presence
• Keep shop information accurate to support BRC approvals
• Liaise between rail repair shops and internal Rail Maintenance team
• Submit daily shop requests via MyGatx, LinkNet, etc.
• Manage inbound/outbound notices and Bills of Lading documentation
• Update mandatory test dates and track compliance for testing
• Submit OTMA information to the leasing company during shop entry
• Communicate invoices and file accordingly
• Run daily reports to track off-lease car statuses
• Balance time commitments with strategic priorities across functions
