Job summary

RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is seeking a Rail Network Coordinator to monitor loaded railcars from origin to destination and manage returns. The role focuses on identifying exceptions, escalating issues, and informing partners of trip variations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in logistics or related field and a minimum of 2 years in rail operations or logistics coordination, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination.
• Proficient in technical writing, good communication skills—attention to detail is critical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with decision making skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loaded railcars from origin to destination using a cloud-based tracking system.
• Identify issues, escalate and inform business partners of variations to planned trips.
• Communicate with railroads to troubleshoot issues and log updates.
• Ensure railcars travel along correct routes, destinations and on-time.
• Understand bill of lading, way billing, and railroad terminology.
• Support continuous improvement and stakeholder communications.
