Job summary
Bunge in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support rail logistics and operation strategy across multiple facilities. You will coordinate domestic rail shipping schedules and train schedules, balancing demand with rail availability and monitoring shipments to resolve issues.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years in logistics or related fields, with strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. SAP experience is a bonus, and after-hours availability may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required with 1–2 years in logistics, transportation, or food industry a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook; SAP experience a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Support rail logistics and operation strategy across facilities.
- Coordinate domestic rail shipping schedules and train schedules.
- Balance customer and plant demand with meal and rail availability.
- Monitor loaded rail shipments and resolve issues.
- Communicate with Trade Group and plant staff to optimize car utilization.
- Audit Railtrac shipments for accuracy.
- Promote safety and Bunge Core Values in daily activities.
