Job summary

Bunge is seeking a logistics-and-transportation professional to manage scheduling and contracting with truckers and 3PLs for a Sandston packaging facility. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and carriers to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments, while driving safety and compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, strong leadership, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in logistics or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or related field.
• Proven leadership and management skills in a team environment.
• Experience processing transportation claims, negotiating traffic rates within preset cost limits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and drive a zero-incident culture for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure plant compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Manage relationships with carriers and transportation providers to support plant and customer needs.
• Plan and execute orders from 3PL warehouses; maintain inventories and act as main contact for 3PLs.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with Supply Chain, Customer Service, trucking firms, and rail partners.
• Develop shipping plans for next day shipments and arrange will-call per customer schedule.
• Work with production scheduler to verify product availability and minimize shortages.
• Negotiate traffic rates within preset cost limits and collaborate with corporate traffic management.
• Assist Supply Chain and Transportation to optimize freight spend across plants and units.
