Job summary

Siemens is seeking an HVAC Service Rail Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems on passenger rail coaches and locomotives, ensuring reliability and passenger comfort.

This field role works with engineering and maintenance teams to support fleet availability, perform component replacements, brazing, nitrogen purging, and refrigerant recovery in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Technical education in HVAC / Refrigeration.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC issues using diagnostic tools.
• Replace defective components and braze copper piping.
• Vacuum and pressurize HVAC units with Nitrogen safely.
• Recover and handle refrigerants per environmental regulations.
