Job summary

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is seeking a Conductor in the Dallas area to move freight safely and efficiently. The role includes classroom and hands-on training, outdoor work in all weather, and opportunities for long-term growth in a dynamic rail environment.

You will comply with safety regulations, communicate with the team, operate track switches, and document train activity. Pre-employment medical and background screening are required, with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol testing, and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Move freight safely and efficiently as part of a conductor role.
• Follow federal, state, and railroad safety regulations.
• Communicate with team members using signals or radio to coordinate train or railcar movement.
• Inspect train and equipment for safety during movement and at rest.
