Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Field Service Technician for rolling stock in Dallas, TX. You will be on-site, commissioning locomotives, diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, and driving reliability improvements across North America.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent rail industry, maintenance, or technical experience.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or technical operations in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to identify and resolve complex equipment issues while following safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, engineers, and stakeholders and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, warranty, troubleshooting, and repair activities on locomotive systems to support safe and reliable operations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform field modifications, testing, inspections, and documentation complying with Siemens quality and safety standards.
• Partner with customers, engineering teams, and service personnel to resolve technical challenges and improve product reliability.
• Track, document, and communicate operational performance and service activities through Siemens reporting systems.
