Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate field tools.
• Willingness to pass background checks and DOT-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete training at Sperry School of Rail Flaw Detection.
• Learn rail detection methods and apply them on field sites.
• Achieve ultrasonic testing certification and use field equipment.
• Collaborate with crew and develop leadership for future roles.
• Gain familiarity with Sperry’s diagnostics and interfaces.
• Set up equipment, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs.
• Adhere to railroad safety procedures during travel assignments.
• Apply training during extended field travel (3–4 months).
