HDR Rail EIT opportunities offer a path to licensure while working on a variety of rail projects. You will collaborate with engineers, designers and clients to deliver design and field support across North America, gaining hands-on experience in track, facilities and environmental services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• EIT certificate or plans for licensure.
• Basic knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• MS Office applications experience.
• Strong interest in railroad design.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates).
• Contribute to projects involving track, facilities, structures, civil infrastructure, environmental services, construction field services, and advisory support.
• Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections and project walkthroughs.
• Utilize engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
• Research and apply applicable codes, standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, technology and construction disciplines.
• Work with experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists to develop your skills.
• Travel periodically for project meetings and field activities.
