Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in transportation engineering.
• One year of lead responsibility for complex transportation engineering projects in bridge design, drainage, electrical, foundations, traffic, facilities design, highway design, research, utilities or hydraulics.
• Incumbents must possess Professional Engineer licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Office of Rail Signal and Communications and Traction Power/OCS sections.
• Act as Project Manager for multi-million-dollar rail projects.
• Review detailed plans, specifications, or studies related to railroad engineering and electrical systems.
• Coordinate design elements with construction projects to ensure timely completion.
• Supervise staff and provide performance evaluations.
