Job summary
HDR Rail is seeking a motivated EIT‑level engineer to join our expanding rail team in the United States. You’ll work on planning, design and delivery for rail infrastructure projects, collaborating with senior engineers and mentors to build your technical and professional skills.
You will gain exposure to track, facilities, structures and environmental services, with opportunities to travel for site visits and project meetings. HDR values ownership and growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- EIT certification or plans for licensure.
- FE exam completed or planned.
- Internship/experience in engineering, transportation or infrastructure.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/OpenRoads/MicroStation/Revit.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
- Assist with technical deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
- Contribute to projects involving track, facilities, civil infrastructure and environmental services.
- Participate in site visits, field assessments and project walkthroughs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and construction disciplines.
- Travel periodically for project meetings and field assignments.
