Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Construction Engineer to join our Bakersfield, Fresno, or Sacramento Office. This onsite role supports the California High-Speed Rail program with engineering analysis, data management, and performance reporting.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, at least two years of experience, and strong data systems and analytics skills. You will develop dashboards, KPI tracking, and data-driven reporting for leadership and project teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with data systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and project teams with data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to track KPIs, schedules, and metrics.
• Use data visualization tools to present complex data clearly.
• Assist with data integration across enterprise systems and platforms.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc leadership reports.
• Collaborate to identify reporting needs, data gaps, and inefficiencies.
• Apply engineering principles to interpret data trends for decision-making.
• Perform QA/QC on datasets and outputs.
• Document workflows, procedures, and data standards.
• Support automation and continuous improvement in reporting.
