Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Construction Engineer III to support the California High-Speed Rail program from Sacramento, Bakersfield, or Fresno. This on-site role focuses on data-driven decision support, dashboards, and reporting for project controls and program management.

The ideal candidate has a civil/mechanical engineering background with 4+ years of experience in data systems, analytics, and QA/QC, plus strong Excel and Power BI skills. Sponsorship and relocation are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with at least four years of relevant experience.
• Strong data systems, analytics, and reporting experience.
• Experience building dashboards and KPIs for program delivery.
• Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and project teams with data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to track KPIs and schedules.
• Use data visualization tools to present complex data clearly.
• Assist with data integration across enterprise systems and platforms.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and program teams.
• Collaborate to identify data gaps and process improvements.
• Apply engineering principles to interpret data trends for decision-making.
• Perform QA/QC checks on datasets and outputs.
• Contribute to documentation of workflows and data standards.
• Support automation and continuous improvement of reporting processes.
