Job summary

Brightline seeks an experienced Conductor to manage train movements between Orlando and Miami area stations. You will support locomotive engineers, ensure safety standards, and deliver exceptional guest service while coordinating with onboard teams.

The role requires CFR 49 Part 242 certification or 3+ years railroad experience, and will involve shifts including nights and weekends with substantial travel across Florida terminals.

Qualifications

• Certified as a train Conductor (CFR Title 49, Part 242) OR three or more years operational railroad experience.
• Willingness to work weekends/nights and on-call as required.
• Strong verbal communication with guests, crew, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Secure train movement orders and ensure clear understanding with Brightline teammates.
• Ensure onboard activities meet Brightline safety standards.
• Handle train doors safely and correctly.
• Understand service requests and use technology to track and action them.
• Operate switches within yards or main tracks as needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents, delays, or operational issues.
• Assist with cleanliness and guest presentation during station turn-around.
• Provide proactive guest service and resolve issues with a courteous, professional demeanor.
