Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform basic and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. You will communicate with patients, verify orders, and support radiologists in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires Wisconsin licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS certification within six months. Physical requirements include lifting and assisting with patient transport in a diverse healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Radiologic Technology program.
• Wisconsin Radiographer license is required.
• ARRT RT registration is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address patient questions.
• Position patients, select exposure factors, and ensure radiation safety.
• Identify and label images, verify orders, and ensure exam accuracy.
• Assist, communicate, and consult with Radiologists.
• Document billing codes and enter patient/study information in the radiology information system.
• Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, with lifting as needed.
• Provide care appropriate to age-specific patient needs per department policies.
