Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated Transportation Assistant to support Radiology services. You will escort patients, assist with moving equipment, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safe, timely transport of patients and visitors.

This full-time role requires completion of a radiologic technology program for ARRT eligibility, BLS certification, and strong communication. Sign-on bonus eligibility is available based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and visitors to destinations using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
• Use hospital paging and telephone systems for transport orders and progress updates.
• Assist clinical staff with transferring patients from bed to transport equipment.
• Provide room orientation and assist with admissions transport.
• Verify outpatient registrations and transport to departments or clinics.
• Retrieves, cleans and stores transport equipment.
