Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision. The role requires ARRT certification within 6 months of hire and CPR certification, with additional clearance requirements. A sign-on bonus is offered with a 3-year commitment.

The position emphasizes patient education, accurate imaging, safety, and adherence to compliance policies while supporting high-quality diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire (12 months for incumbents prior to April 2026).
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Certificate

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures, analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Review patient history and orders; educate patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensure safety and QC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
