Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting. You will ensure high image quality, position patients correctly, and provide patient education on procedures and safety.

Responsibilities include contrast administration when needed, equipment preparation, and adherence to safety and quality protocols. AARPT/ARRT certification and an accredited education path are preferred for continued career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR six months to one-year related experience and/or training; OR equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures, analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Educate patient about procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope, monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, implement safety standards and perform quality control.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
