Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role involves evaluating image quality, communicating with patients, and assisting with contrast administration when ordered.

ARRT Radiography certification is required within 6 months, CPR certification is needed, and background clearances per state and federal regulations are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Background clearance requirements: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform radiographic imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
• Adjust exposure factors and imaging parameters; repeat procedures as needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results and maintain documentation.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
