Position Summary

To provide high-quality imaging procedures to patients and physicians in a respectful, efficient, and safe environment.

Position Requirements

Education: Radiologic Technology diploma or degree; compliance with CE requirements.
Certifications: BLS within 90 days of hire.
Experience: Preferably at least one year in a clinical setting post-graduation; training available.
Skills: Knowledge of various x-ray equipment and computers; training on specific Williamson Health equipment; experience with fluoroscopy, surgery, and routine studies preferred.
Physical Environment: Practice radiation safety and universal precautions.
Physical Effort: Ability to manipulate equipment, assist with patient movement, lift 20 pounds, communicate effectively, and maintain emotional stability.

Performance Standards
  1. Verify patient identity and physician orders before procedures.
  2. Question female patients (12-50) about pregnancy and document responses.
  3. Question all patients receiving contrast media about allergies and medical history.
  4. Ensure radiation safety for all, following ALARA, IMAGE GENTLY, and IMAGE WISELY principles.
  5. Maintain patient dignity by ensuring proper coverage during exams and transport.
  6. Assist in other areas during downtime and utilize time effectively.
  7. Check on waiting patients to ensure comfort and coverage.
  8. Demonstrate leadership and teamwork, making appropriate decisions.
  9. Volunteer for overtime and fill-in shifts when needed.
  10. Follow safety procedures when moving patients and monitor patient safety during procedures.
  11. Perform high-quality studies consistently.
  12. Collaborate with colleagues to optimize equipment use and fulfill requests efficiently.
