Job summary

Mercy Health is hiring a Radiology Technologist for Ada Family Medicine. The radiologic technologist, under an authorized user, applies diagnostic imaging techniques with a focus on safety and accuracy in radiology procedures.

The role requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, state licensure (preferred), and BLS certification. Experience with Radiology Information System and EPIC/EHR is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure (preferred, depending on state).
• BLS from American Heart Association (required at hire for some Mercy locations).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and documents information for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Minimizes exposure to patient and staff through radiation protection.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures.
• Performs timeouts as required by policy.
• Administers medications/contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
