Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Diagnostic Imaging at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The Radiologic Technologist applies imaging skills under an authorized user's direction to safely perform procedures and document findings.

Responsibilities include history review, patient positioning, radiation protection, and assisting with fluoroscopic procedures. Requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS, with patient-centered care and strong teamwork essential to the role.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is performed)
• BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for certain Mercy Health locations)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's clinical history and lab work; ensure information is documented for licensed practitioners
• Position and immobilize patient to optimize imaging
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; aseptic technique as needed
• Perform timeouts per policy
• Prepare/administer medications/contrast as prescribed
