Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the West Chester Orthopaedic & Spine location. You will perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and quality images.

This role requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, state licensure where applicable, and BLS. You will collaborate with physicians and staff, manage patient comfort, and adhere to radiation safety practices. Excellent patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required
• State Licensure preferred, depending on location
• BLS certification required at hire for certain Mercy Health locations; preferred prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab work; documents for licensed practitioner
• Positions and immobilizes patient to obtain optimal imaging while ensuring comfort
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories
• Verifies informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic procedures and aseptic technique
• Performs timeout as required by policy
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed
