Job summary

Mercy Home Health in Cincinnati seeks an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiography and support patient care under provider orders. You will ensure correct positioning, chart patient encounters in the EMR, and adapt to daily workflow with attention to safety and quality.

Required ARRT certification with preferred state licensure and BLS. Prior radiology experience and familiarity with EPIC/PACS are valued, along with a commitment to teamwork in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration required.
• State licensure preferred where applicable.
• BLS from American Heart Association required/preferred.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• 1 year radiology safety and patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with RIS, EPIC EHR and PACS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper positioning.
• Sets up immobilization equipment and ensures patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Determines exposure factors safeguarding patient and equipment.
• Travel to off-site facilities for providers or scheduling needs.
• Practices sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Performs additional duties such as labs, registration, or scribing as needed.
