Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment, producing diagnostically useful images under physician direction. You’ll support safety, accuracy, and compliance while working with a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves night shifts with rotating weekends/holidays, on-site at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, and requires ARRT certification within 60 days along with an associate degree or completion certificate in Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

• Must complete radiology procedures accurately per standards.
• ARRT certification within 60 days required.
• Able to operate PACS/RIS/HIS systems and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently per standards.
• Initiates intervention when immediate attention is needed.
• Reviews exam indications and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data for radiologist interpretation.
• Operates PACS/RIS/HIS systems and performs clerical duties.
• Archives image data and distributes to radiologist group.
• Upholds patient confidentiality and safety policies.
• Mentors staff and students during training and rotations.
• Maintains department policies and infection control.
